Mechanically Fixed Ceramic Cladding
Exterior cladding in which porcelain tiles in a range of colours and textures are mechanically fixed to an aluminium subframe.
Ceramic facade cladding uses porcelain (granite-ceramic) tiles, produced in a range of colours and textures, which are bonded to an aluminium subframe or installed with concealed fixings. The tiles come in 30×60, 60×60 or 60×120 cm; the size is chosen to suit the scale of the building.
With its wide choice of colours and fixing options, it is installed by mechanical fixing as the outer skin of buildings such as hotels, hospitals and business centres. It helps the facade resist abrasion, bending and chemicals. Because a cavity remains between the ceramic surface and the concrete structure, thermal insulation can be added behind it. Its elegant look makes it a frequent choice.
